Utah Representative Lorie Fowlke

I believe that the traditional family is the core unit of our society. While I recognize that many in our community function as single parents, or have other challenges, statistics show that children thrive and become better functioning adults when raised with a father and a mother.

Because of the high number of children in Utah as a percentage of the population we may always have difficulty funding education as much as we would like. With the expectation of even larger numbers of children increasing our student population in the next ten years and further stretching our state resources, many people are seeking alternatives.

I strongly support the right to bear arms, as stated in the second amendment to the U.S. Constitution. As a people, we like to hunt and shoot recreationally.

The natural resources in Utah are an integral part of this state. The majority of our land is rural with many areas of natural pristine wilderness.
