Family:

Education:

Transportation:

  • Co-sponsor of transportation to bill to assure permanent source of ongoing funding for transportation projects

  • Support option of toll roads to allow for public private partnerships to build roads 10-20 years sooner

Criminal Justice:

  • Sponsor of "Lori's Law", increasing sentencing for murder from 5-life to 15 to life
  • Sponsor of sex offender registration fee, providing for sex offenders who are still on sex offender registry but no longer on parole or probation, to pay annual fee to assist in cost of maintaining the registry.
  • Co-sponsor of bill to educate public and provide information about consequences of STD [Utah County has one of the highest rates in the nation] Co-Sponsor of Human Trafficking bill, providing penalties for those who traffic in human slavery Sponsor of Stalking Amendments bill, including cyber stalking in criminal offense of stalking
  • House sponsor of juvenile offender diversion alternatives, providing for diversionary sentence in appropriate circumstances for our children.

Business/Economic Development:

  • House sponsor of ethics in dental advertising, requiring general dentists to distinguish themselves from specialists in the dental field, like orthodontics
  • Co-Sponsor of Energy Policy Amendments, creating a comprehensive policy for Utah to manage their energy resources prudently

Energy/Environment:

  • Cosponsor of Water Rights Amendments, providing increased protection from forfeiture for water rights
